Let Him Hear is the debut gospel music studio album by Renta, and was part of the shift in her career from secular pop and R&B music to faith-based Christian music, beginning with the album’s lead single, "Walk with Me", released January 30, 2026. Written, produced, and performed entirely by Renta, the album draws heavily from gospel-blues and urban contemporary gospel, and makes use of vintage acoustic instrumentation and arrangements. Renta drew inspiration for the album’s sound from her musical and Baptist church influences, including Ella Fitzgerald, Mahalia Jackson, the Edwin Hawkins Singers, Mariah Carey, and Yolanda Adams.
In the fall of 2024, during the album rollout phase of her second studio album, Summer Blind, Renta was involved in an incident that forced her to lean heavily into her Christian faith. At the height of this spiritual trial, she re-examined aspects of her personal life, and relied on biblical passages and prayer for answers and comfort. After several months of incessant prayer and ultimate deliverance, the direction of Renta’s music career was brought under scrutiny, and she ultimately decided to transition to gospel music. Feeling that her heart was no longer in pop and R&B music, she sought a new beginning committed to using her musical gifts exclusively for serving and glorifying God.
