Marian Renta is excited to announce the release of her compilation album Then Comes Dawn dropping this Friday. Her first album in 14 years, Then Comes Dawn is an embodiment of deep ballads and electronic grooves, and serves to amalgamate the three-EP saga that brought Marian Renta back into the recording studio after a ten-year hiatus. The album drips melancholy and despair, yet hope, documenting Renta's experiences and breakthrough as she navigated love, life, and spiritual development in the early 2020s. Entirely written and produced by Renta, Then Comes Dawn features fully remastered versions of the songs from her EP trilogy Headfirst, Great Deep, and Candy-coated Pill.
Ahead of its release, Renta took to Bandcamp and Souncloud to unveil the album and its beautifully laid tracklist, allowing fans and listeners to hear the artfully remastered tracks in all of their magnificence. Renta states:
"I was so ecstatic to finally get in there, to get into the studio and rescue these beautiful songs from the problems that plagued them, such as terrible EQ, terrible vocal processing, and quiet, lifeless masters that boldly reflect just how little I knew of audio engineering at that time. It was like grabbing a mop and turning a brown floor into a white one. I finally get to hear and feel the emotion these songs were intended to invoke when they first came out. I can hear the separation between the bass and the kick drum, and the vocals are clear, upfront, and gorgeous. And alas, the masters are loud, clean, and brought up to industry expectations."
Then Comes Dawn can be heard now on Soundcloud and Bandcamp, and can be downloaded through the latter.
Then Comes Dawn will be out Friday, March 28, but can be pre-saved here before it hits stores like Apple Music, Spotify, and TIDAL on Friday.
