"Hands" serves as a Fathers' Day tribute to fathers who raise their children under challenging circumstances, and more personally, it serves as Renta's ode to her father on his special day. The song features a classic piano and vocal combo adorned with a gospel tone, and an emotionally charged swell bolstered by a choir and timpani that refreshes each passage with a flush of impact. Written and produced by Renta, the song's lyrics drip with emotional depth as she recounts listeners of her father's challenges and obstacles in raising her as a single father in the midst of financial constraints and a shattered family construct. Regarding the song's creative process, Renta states:

"I knew I wanted to write a song for my Dad for Fathers' Day, but I absolutely did not want a schmaltzy pop tune with a basic melody and overused lyrics. For me, this song really needed to move him and showcase to him that I really mean this. The lyrics needed to be specific and personal. I needed him to really hear my gratitude and love. That's not easy to do for a man who, himself, is a DJ who has heard it all and felt it all. I knew a choir was a non-negotiable, but due to time constraints, I couldn't get a choir together in time for tracking; so I laid all 18 of the choir vocal tracks myself. My voice was shot the next day, but it was worth it. When the song was done, I sent it to him with his gift. My Mom called a few days later and told me he was overwhelmed, but in a good way. I was very happy that day. I knew I fulfilled my mission. My Dad and I have had a weird dynamic here and there, but we're in such a great place now. Despite the past, I've always known he loves me more than anyone alive. Now I gotta pay him back; so I dropped a 3 minute love bomb on him."

"Hands" is available on all platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify. the lyric video can be viewed here.
